Our mission
Make everyday digital tasks quicker to finish. Tools that open instantly, ask for nothing, do one job clearly and get out of the way, with the right one easy to find among a thousand others.
About MetaBox Tools
MetaBox Tools exists because finding a simple online tool got complicated. Convert a PDF, work out a repayment, format some JSON, check a page title length. Tasks that should take thirty seconds now mean sign-up walls, downloads and trial periods. We put the tools in one place, free, with nothing in the way.
Why this exists
Most online utility tools now ask for something before they do anything. None of it is necessary for a task that takes half a minute: a PDF merger doesn't need your email, and a mortgage calculator doesn't need an account. MetaBox Tools is built the other way round.
What usually happens
What happens here
The collection has grown to more than a thousand browser-based tools across twenty-five categories: PDF conversion and editing, calculators for finance, health, construction, maths and science, text and formatting utilities, developer tools, unit converters and digital marketing utilities.
Make everyday digital tasks quicker to finish. Tools that open instantly, ask for nothing, do one job clearly and get out of the way, with the right one easy to find among a thousand others.
To be the place people think of first for a small, specific job, the way you reach for a calculator without deciding to. Broad enough to cover the task, focused enough that every tool still does one thing.
What's different
Every tool on the site is free to use. No paywall, no trial period, no premium tier holding back the useful features.
No sign-up, no email address, no verification step. Open a tool and start using it immediately.
Nothing to download, nothing to install, no extension to add. Works on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS.
Each tool does a single specific task rather than bundling ten features into one crowded interface you have to learn first.
Every tool is built for a mobile browser, because most quick tasks start on the device already in your hand.
Tools are grouped into twenty-five categories and searchable by name or task, so a thousand options stay navigable.
How we build
If a tool needs instructions before you can use it, the tool is wrong, not the person using it.
Say what a tool does and what it doesn't. No capability described that isn't actually there.
Readable text, keyboard-operable controls and touch targets sized for real fingers, on every tool.
Fixing what already exists comes before adding more. A thousand tools is only useful if they work.
Quality standards
A tool's page should describe the tool that's actually there: the inputs it takes, the output it gives and the limits it has.
Where a calculator uses a formula or an assumption, we aim to show it, so you can check the result rather than trust it blindly.
If a tool gives a wrong answer or a page describes it inaccurately, tell us and we'll fix it. Report a problem.
Our commitment
The collection is large and parts of it need attention. These are the things we're committed to, stated plainly rather than as marketing.
